Homemade Salsa

What I love best about my blog: When my fave bloggers post, I see the subject of their latest post on my blog list. If it intrigues me (or you), we can just click on thru to see whatzup!

Recently, Trying Traditional posted a recipe for Lacto-fermented Salsa. What I found when I clicked thru was not only a recipe, but a pictorial step-by-step instruction on how to make the recipe. Naturally, I took the bait and now this week have a whole bunch of my own homemade salsa in the fridge.

It is really fantastic! We have had it in eggs all week, and last night we had salsa in our crock pot roast sauce. I just added some (about 1/4 cup) to a can of crushed tomatoes and a cup of beef stock, and a cup of water and it made the best spicy pot roast! YUM!

  1. I’ve been making lacto-fermented salsa for a while now and it’s always good! My dh loves it, my kids love it, I love it. It’s a total winner. I cannot wait to try it with my own grown tomatoes.
