Fight Back Fridays Blog Carnival

Texas Foodie Launches Provocative Blog Carnival–Food Politics Anyone?

Today is Fight Back Friday on the Food Renegade blog, one of my new fave blogs.  This gal from Texas is really feisty and fun, and she has a killer blog.  My contribution to her new blog carnival (today is the first day, so join in the fun) is letting you know about the brand new Official Weston A. Price Foundation Facebook Page that I just put up last Friday (NOTE: you may need a free Facebook.com account to access the page).  A great way to get plugged in to the buy local food movement, and learn more than you ever dreamed of about human and animal nutrition is to join the Weston A. Price Foundation.

Food Renegade’s blog post today, is Why Organic is Not Enough. The Weston A. Price volunteer chapter leaders around the country, help people find local, true organic farm sources of food, or even beyond organic farms.

Right now, if you have a Facebook.com page, even as a non-member, you can FAN the Weston A. Price Foundation page, and meet others who are already members or just scoping us out, like you. A great reason to join Facebook, too, if you haven’t done so already!  And please friend me in Facebook (search for Kimberly Hartke) and Twitter, search for (KimHartke).  I would love to have you in my sphere of influence.  I learned today that there are 175 million people using Facebook.com.  Too amazing!

For those of you unfamiliar with Weston A. Price Foundation, we are the buy extremely local, support your sustainable farmer, patronize your closest farm market, cook everything from scratch kinda guys. We are the vanguard of the battle for a new sustainable farm economy.  This is the best way to get our country’s economic engine humming, so join us, will you?

Here is a tiny URL to the official Weston A. Price Foundation Page, please help me promote our new page!  http://tinyurl.com/wapf-fb

Wow, Kimberly! Thanks for creating this fan page. What a labor of love. I bet you’ll be surprised by how active it becomes. Oh, and thanks for calling me “feisty and fun.” The descriptors make me happy. :)

avatarI would have never imagined that I would be blogging, or that I would join a group like Real Food Media. None of this would have happened without you. I mean more than the help you have given me, though I appreciate it very much. I also mean seeing the great good you do with your blog, with supporting WAPF, with advocating real food and the great info you provide on so many issues. There is such a desperate need for this information. You are an inspiration to me. Thank you for being who you are, and for doing what you do.
