This week we are in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Our family owns 4 cabins on the top of a ridge near the peak of Cove Mountain. We rent them out year round, to families who are visiting the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Now, it is our turn to do some maintenance on the cabins and enjoy them for a few days, ourselves.

I’m leaving on a jet plane, don’t know when I’ll be back again…We are going to visit our vacation rental cabins in the Smokies…

This has got to be the perfect news story with which to kick off my blog carnival on Natural Cures. On ABC News this morning, the story on the outrage over AIG giving 165 million dollars in bonuses to its executives, Lawrence Summers, Director of the National Economic Counsel, was quoted as saying “We are a nation of law…The Government can’t just abrogate a private contract.” Will someone please tell the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene that?
