Documentary Film Describes Life of Estrella Family Cheesemakers

Mike Jones, a filmmaker, made a wonderful short documentary about the Estrella Family and their Creamery, which is currently shut down by the FDA. This film was shown at a recent fund raising event held by friends of the family in the Seattle area.

We need to help the Estrella family with the finances needed to survive this work stoppage which threatens their farm.

To make a donation, please click on the pledgie button, below. If you have a blog or website, please consider supporting the campaign by running the button on your sidebar. If 25,000 people each give $10.00, we can save this family farm!

  1. Giving money to these wonderful people is one way we can really make a difference. It is something we can do that actually resists the tyrants who are trying to destroy this family business. As Kim has pointed out, if we act in our tens of thousands, we can really help.

  2. Karen Arnett says:

What is the current status of the Estrella family? I just happened upon the documentary on this blog and notice that there’s nothing online to say what has happened since the documentary was made.
