I'm On A Boat!

My husband and his brother went off on a boating adventure this weekend, so I have no recipe to report today. I lived off of leftovers and lambshanks this weekend and really enjoyed the break from my kitchen duties.

While Keith and Paul weren’t on a Carnival cruise (they were houseboating on the bay in Ocean City) I am glad they got a break from their 6 day a week grind!

What did you do this weekend? Did you cook up something amazing? Here is your chance to share your recipe, kitchen tips, heck, even a restaurant review in our Weekend Gourmet blog carnival.

Bloggers, share your link in Mr. Linky, and please link back to this post from your blog and comment below.

Other readers are invited to share your recipes, ideas, weekend happenings in the comments! Do tell!

  4. Leftovers and lambshanks can be just as yummy! Now, you have room in the fridge for new recipes!

I shared an easy one pot meal that I made a few weeks ago. It’s in the rotation for Back to School in September.

  5. I’m sharing my “faux” pasta recipe that will gets me through a carb craving.

  6. Thanks so much for hosting.  I shared a Apple Crisp w/ Soaked Oats Topping recipe (made w/ Gravenstein Apples which are in season right now).  Thanks again 🙂

I heart apples. Will definitely print this one out and add it to my binder!
Do you all have blog recipe binders? I put them in plastic sleeves and then into a three ring binder.
I now have about 4 binders, labeled breakfast, fermented foods, dinner, desserts. I got really perky colorful
      binders from Wal Mart.

  7. I added my weekend overview post, which includes some great food ideas, as well as a mini-review of Nora’s restaurant in DC.

  8. Thanks for hosting, Kimberly! Sounds like you had a nice and relaxing weekend. Good for you! I keep reading about how busy you have been and I am thinking you probably needed a break. This week I am linking up to my post on an easy breakfast casserole. I rely on it whenever I am cooking for a bunch. It is easy to up-size to feed as many as 25-30 people with hardly any effort.
