Peaches are in abundance at local farm markets.

The Smell of a Fresh Peach

Welcome back to our Weekend Gourmet blog carnival! Farmers markets are now in full swing with lots of fresh produce. Yesterday, on the way to deliver a relative who is in an Assisted Living facility, I stopped at a roadside market and bought her a few peaches. When I arrived, I took her in her wheelchair outside on the patio. She had just eaten lunch, so I encouraged her to take a whiff of the peach. Oh, the smell of a fresh peach! Dreamy!
