DVD!Michael Schmidt is a raw dairy farmer in Canada who runs a cow boarding program. Because of strict laws in Canada which prohibit the sale of raw dairy products, Michael’s customers own the cows, and he just provides grazing, milking and delivery services. Even so, the Canadian government has filed 22 charges against him for selling raw milk! Just this week, he was cited with a Contempt of Court for continuing to run his cow boarding program. Michael is a Hero of Sustainable Agriculture, because he is willing to go to jail, if need be, to draw attention to the plight of traditional farms, who are producing a product that is greatly prized by his customers, yet frowned upon by over zealous regulators!
I do read your blog on a daily basis; as a goat farmer and a proponent of raw milk, specifically raw goat milk, I certainly consider your blog required reading.

An organic dairy farmer from southern Ontario vowed Monday to continue the illegal sale of raw milk, just minutes after being found guilty of contempt of court for ignoring an order to cease selling the product.
