Sally Fallon Morell Speaks to Attendees of Wise Traditions UK
Wise Traditions UK 2010 with Videos and Photos
by Phil Ridley, Chapter Leader, Weston A. Price Foundation, London
March 21 2010 saw Europe’s first Weston A Price Foundation Conference, hosted by the London Chapter. It was a fantastic success attracting 250 people. We had delegates travel specially from mainland Europe including Spain and Belgium. More than ten people traveled to London from Ireland and plans are afoot for the first Irish Weston A Price Foundation Chapters. We even had three Canadians combine the event into their holiday here! The consensus was that numbers will double next year and we have already booked a larger venue for next year. We also have activities throughout the year including picnics, social gatherings and events where we host a stall and hand out flyers.

Luncheon at Wise Traditions UK
The event continues to reach yet more people online with over 30,000 views of the video’s so far from 63 countries. The chapter leader experienced the powerful effects first hand after his father gave up statins, margarine and, to his mother’s initial horror began making up for lost time with lashings of butter! It was heartening to hear stories of people giving up vegetable oil trying raw dairy for the first time and much more.
The video’s are now available online for free, so we encourage people to share them and embed them on their blogs and facebook to reach as many people as possible. Click here for the complete set of videos: vimeo.com/wisetraditionsuk

Traditional Diets Research of Dr. Weston A. Price
Sally Fallon Morell headlined the event and captivated the audience for 2.5 hours sharing a message that was new to most people. This message is so important in a country where the people have been terrorized into fearing traditional foods. Her website is New Trends Publishing and Sally is President and founder of the Weston A Price Foundation.

Vendors Made it Possible, Benefited Greatly

Fermented Foods Exhibit at Wise Traditions UK
The event included 14 exhibitors and a stall run by the chapter. We sold over 500 litres of raw milk, and Grove Farm gathered enough contacts to commence doorstep delivery of raw Jersey milk, cream and butter. They abandoned use of mechanical separation of milk and cream after hearing the benefits of hand scooped raw cream at the event, demonstrating the power of consumer demand and informative presentations. Grove Farm can be contacted at: rawjerseymilk@googlemail.com. We also had raw goat milk from Ellies Dairy, who sell their raw milk in shops across London. Raw buffalo milk and yoghurt was provided by Alham Wood and raw cream was provided by Hurdlebrook Farm. The London Chapter provides a comprehensive list of raw dairy providers, which includes farms that distribute raw dairy by mail order to all of Great Britain. In fact, the chapter leader decided to promote Weston A Price Foundation after discovering that raw milk cured his lactose intolerance and that governments are actively restricting access to it and other nutrient dense foods.

Wise Traditions UK Program
Other exhibitors included Protexin Healthcare who sell probiotic supplements, Red 23 who sell organic food raw dairy, fermented fish liver oil and more online, Treating Autism who help people with autism and their families and promote nutrient dense food as a solution, Living Medicine: A vision, unique in Britain, to create a world herbal medicine centre with a herb and kitchen garden to educate about using herbs and food in health, National Pure Water Association: Campaigned since 1960 against water fluoridation, Carnaby Street Dental Practice: Mercury free dentists who operate the IAMOT’s protocols for safe removal of mercury containing fillings as part of their range of services in Central London, Cultured Probiotics who sell cultured, unpasteurised and home produced sauerkraut, latino kraut, mix vegetables medley, beetroot pickle, ginger & carrot mix, salsa and pickled garlic. Our final exhibitor was CREAM: This organization says no to homogenization. If it hasn’t got cream on the top, don’t drink it!

Phil Ridley on a Pro-Butter Campaign
Philip Ridley is the Weston A. Price Chapter Leader for London, England. He is the organizer of the first Wise Traditions UK Conference ever held in Europe, in London on March 21, 2010. You might recall his successful protest of a surgeon’s attempt to ban butter in the United Kingdom. Here is his blog about his one man pro-butter crusade.
If you live in the UK and would like to get involved in Phil’s efforts on behalf of real food, join him and his fellow Weston A. Price members on Meetup.com/westonaprice-london. Contact Philip at wisetraditions.uk@googlemail.com.
Note from Kimberly: For those of you who missed it, Sir Julian Rose wrote about his raw milk campaign for Globe and Mail newspaper:

Any chance we could get in touch with the Spanish delegates who attended the conference? We are in North-Eastern Spain an feel pretty disconnected. We are following GAPS and NT and are part of a GAPS Yahoo group which is wonderful, but we have not found other people in Spain to share resources and ideas with.
Thank you!
Dear Mar, contact me on 02076821093 or philridley@hotmail.com and I’ll see if I can put you in touch with the two Spanish delegates I’m aware of.
This blog post really made me happy. It is so wonderful to see people in Britain become aware of the truth about food and take solid steps to make things better.
Well done, Phil!
