NourishMD.com, A Good Resource for Healthy Families
Earlier this month, I wrote a guest blog about my weight loss journey. My husband Keith and I lost 50 lbs between us, six years ago. Since we made the decision to do so, as a New Years resolution, it seems fitting to be telling the story in the new year!
NourishMD.com is a fantastic website by a medical doctor and nutrition counselor, who have teamed up to help other moms, like themselves, to take baby steps toward a healthier family. They offer e-books, an online store and have a local medical and nutritional consulting practice in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Please visit their site and read my guest post. I know they would love you to leave a comment about your weight loss experiences (or struggles). It would be especially valuable if you are a parent and have tips for the whole family, or questions about the subject. Here is the link: Weight Loss and REAL Food.

That’s so exciting to hear about weight loss with real foods! Especially professionals who are talking about real foods – my experiences trying to lose weight in the past were filled with nutritionists pushing high carbs, low/no fat – or WW peddling their specialized low point snack “foods.” So exciting! Thanks for posting. I hope to add my weight loss story someday soon.
My comment there is awaiting approval. Thank you for sharing your story. Trying to figure out what we’re doing wrong. I so need someone to tell me, as I believe our diet is on track, though we definitely need to physically get moving. ~Karen
Thanks for sharing. I have subscribed to NourishMD for while, and they have some great information.
Kimberly – Thanks so much for sharing your guest post with your readers as well. We have had some great comments and feedback. Your story is an inspiration. We appreciate your kind words about NourishMD.com!
This team to help other moms like to take small steps toward better health for the family. They offer e-books, an online store and have a practice of medical and nutritional consultation to local Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Have you ever heard you do have two choices, you can eat yourself into poor health and early death or you can eat yourself into good health and live a long healthy life. What most people do not realize, they are choosing the first. Everybody needs some encouragement and the drive, some point in their lives to get to where they want to be. I have reached mine and will finish my challenge.
Body By Vi (Visalus) is amazing! And it is for everyone. Watch the videos on this webpage.

And wow! I am convinced! I have started my challenge on April 4th, 2012. I feel it is a must, to spread the word! and fast! I absolutely, no doubt about it, love these shakes! Usually i have to choke down shakes since most are way too thick for me to enjoy one. But these are amazing and i love sweets so my drinks taste delicious! Almost immediately after drinking just one 8 oz shake I felt more alert, energized and full. Definately is filling my stomach to the max! Extra 15 lbs will fall off in 90 days or sooner! And I will never miss a shake since they are so easy to make! My *GOALS* for the 90 day challenge……………. 1) FEEL HEALTHY AND ENERGIZED – Lets face the facts, most of us feel that we are too busy to eat the right way and that is healthy greens and fruits everyday. We know our bodies and minds need them for complete nutrition. Whether it is for energy, our skin, hair, eyes, minds, i could keep on. Yet, now i have been here more than once before too, McDonald’s! (is so much easier right) The shake is much more cheaper in the long run compared to buying the serving of vegetables, fruits that we need for our everyday lives and especially cheaper than fast food that eventually leads to major health problems. Which leads to more money spent. Strolling down that avenue is an endless chain until one day the fries and burgers drive you to your end. 2) LOSE WEIGHT – Imagine that!
I want to get back to my high school weight which would be roughly 155 lbs. So I need to lose 15 lbs. That would be wonderful! I have seen results through others so I am confident, pumped, and very excited for MY 90 DAY CHALLENGE!!
