
One Easy System for REAL Food, REAL Fast!

We all know how important it is to feed our children nutrient dense, organic, and local REAL food, but we don’t always know HOW to accomplish this everyday for every meal and snack. With our busy lifestyles it can be a challenge to squeeze in healthy eating.
One of the biggest obstacles to eating REAL food for every meal and snack is lack of organization. One way to overcome this obstacle is One Easy System for REAL Food, REAL Fast! It’s not about needing more recipes, it’s all about planning,
shopping and prepping. Plan. Shop. Prep. Sounds simple; it is!
Plan ~ Plan meals and snacks for the week
Once a week (before you shop) write down a weekly menu. Don’t make it complicated – think simple. List out some choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Then create your weekly shopping list from that menu.
Shop ~ Shop for your planned meals and snacks
When you shop, you’ll become laser focused on picking up just those ingredients to make the recipes on your menu, and avoid tripping up on buying fake foods and other non-necessity items. Watch your food bill drop as an added bonus!
Prep ~ Prep meals and snacks for the week
After you shop, instead of putting everything back in the refrigerator or cupboard, take some time to prep some items for the week. Start soaking your grains/nuts/legumes or chop veggies for snacks. Make chicken stock for soup or brown ground beef for tacos. Anything to help you grab and go for a snack and shorten your prep times for lunch and dinner. You get the idea.
