Gluten-Free Pie Crust with Raw Almonds!
Really raw almonds are still available through mail order. As you may be aware, the almonds you buy in the store are now pasteurized and even though they say raw on the label, they most likely aren’t.
I found a wonderful farm, Nut-N-Other farm in Dixon, CA that does sell raw almonds direct to the consumer. Angie McKinsey is the farmers wife. I used her almond meal as a pie crust substitute for this years thanksgiving pie.
