Today, I blogged about a trip to the shore with our family for Easter. My earliest memories of carousel horses were those on the boardwalk amusement park at the beach. Hop on the Carousel of Weekend Fun with our blog carnival today!

Here is your chance to share your recipes using local ingredients and cooked from scratch. In addition to your kitchen creations, feel free to share a post about a family weekend outing, a farm tour, or even a blog post about anything you are very excited about. Weekend Gourmet is our title, but you can share anything with our readers that inspires you. Posts from your archives are more than welcome. If you are not a blogger, feel free to share a link from your favorite blog or add your recipe or ideas in the comments below.

Here is Mr. Linky!

  1. Wow! I am early to get on the train! That’s great! I developed a grain and dairy free, real food brownie receipe for my father-in-law. It is seriously delicious and I am feeling pretty proud of my creation. I hope others try it and like it, too!

  2. #3! New for me! I’m sharing my recipe from my monthly pantry challenge – I’m using up stuff in the freezer and pantry in preparation for the new gardening season. I can’t wait to look at the brownie recipe!

Thanks Barb, what a great idea. I find shopping in my own pantry saves a
lot of money. It’s amazing what hides in there….

I’ve linked up a brunch menu, perfect for the weekend. My favourite part is the cookie breakfast cereal. Thanks for hosting.

  4. Hello! I’m sharing my post for Beignets and Cafe au Lait in accordance with the 80/20 “rule”, and also a ‘tip’ on how to avoid lard reaching the smoke point!

Hi Kimberly, love your idea for a new blog carnival! I’ve submitted a lacto-fermented thousand island dressing recipe that is sure to go well with many weekend gourmet creations! ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. I am sharing a cocodamia nut smoothie recipe today! If you are unsure what a cocodamia nut is then just check out the recipe – you should know from there ๐Ÿ˜‰

  8. I don’t have one. single. recipe. Nothing to share. I have one or two I got from Rachel (Southern Fairy Tale) but nothing – I do pizza with a slice of American on toast with Ragu – but I didn’t think that was gourmet enough!! But I heart reading you – so it was a perfect little visit – except reading about raw milk – then finding out it wasn’t you – grrrrrr.

    God Bless you Kim.
