Welcome Back to another new week! How was your weekend? Mine was amazing! The Hartke’s held our 24th Caribbean Beach party, with steel drum band, fire eater and limbo show. Uncle Freddie from the farmer’s market cooked up a wonderful BBQ lunch, and a great time was had by all!
Someone at the party mentioned they had seen my health journey in the local newspaper, so I thought I would share the link in today’s blog carnival. What’s the news at your home?
Do you have a wonderful farm fresh foods recipe or weekend happening to share? This carnival is trying to capture the essence of your weekend kitchen and backyard experiences, so share gardening, culinary, or home entertaining posts from your blog (archives welcome).
Bloggers, please remember to link back to this blog from your post. Those of you without a blog, please do share a recipe or your news in the comments, below!
Here’s Mr. Linky!
Hi Kimberly,
I shared my delicious Banana Coconut Cream Dessert and an article about how the American Dietetic Association is trying to take control of all Nutritionists by passing legislation to offer a license under their guidelines (in 40 states). As we know, conventional dietetics has a lot to be desired and alternative nutritionists will suffer if this is passed into law. I hope people will read the article and sign the petition for their state.
I made these chicken fingers over the weekend and they were a big hit!
Happy Monday Kimberly! I am sharing a recipe for making gravlax at home. It’s delicious, elegant, and quite simple to prepare.
Yay for blog carnivals and good weekend eating! Thanks for hostessing!
Sorry for piggy-backing on your comment Girl but for some reason I couldn’t comment in the “original” comment section. I don’t know if it is stupid computer error or user error .
Anyway, never having done this before I accidentally link up my gardening blog twice - doh! I’ll do better next time. Meanwhile, people can peruse all my mistakes and learn from them.
Woohoo! A recipe for gravlax, my hubby’s favorite Swedish delicacy. Thanks, Kimberly!
We had a cool and wet weekend, and so some cookie baking was in order. I’ve shared my Paleo Thumb Print Cookie recipe. Thanks.!
I’m sharing my recipe for a 9 layer Lasagna that is grain, gluten, soy, dairy and corn free. It’s a little time consuming to make but it makes a huge pan so you can feed a crowd or have leftovers for a couple of days.
Hi Kimberly,
I was just going to send you a note with my BBQ video when I noticed this carnival, and realised that weekend and realfood and this video went together perfectly! These days I suggest you be very aware of where you are harvesting your fresh oysters though…what with oil spills and nuclear disasters….
Thanks for hosting Kimberly. I’ve shared a simple recipe for spicy scrambled eggs with tomatoes. It’s perfect for any meal, but I especially like it for a late weekend breakfast.
When you go to a fast food restaurant its a lot of fun when you know how to order. Its tough in todays world but extremely doable. Wendy’s has a number of solid options as long as you know how to order. Learn more by reading my post!
